Sigma Beauty – Warm Neutrals Volume II Eyeshadow Palette First Impressions

This eyeshadow palette is the sequel to Sigma Beauty’s best-selling Warm Neutrals eyeshadow palette. This palette includes twelve rich and warm shades in smooth and a lasting formula.

Sigma Beauty - Warm Neutrals Vol II (Front)

The palette is a lot smaller than I expected, but I don’t mind that at all. It’s very easy to hold in my hand – I have very small hands! I can create an eye look more quickly when I’m holding the palette in one hand and an eye brush in the other.

Sigma Beauty - Warm Neutrals Vol II (Open)

I really like the color story against the black background. Some of the shades are a little crooked and I think that it bothers me – and only me. Based on just looking at the shades in the pan, you can see the different textures.

This palette retails for $39.00. It can be found on the Sigma Beauty website: This palette contains a net weight of 13.43 grams of product. Each shade contains a little over one gram of product in each pan.

Packaging: 3 out of 5

I do like the sleek black packaging of the overall palette. I’m not sure about the font all over the front of the palette. I think it may have to do with the color that makes it unattractive to me, personally. I would have loved to have seen something, such as a black, glossy, and embossed font against the matte black packaging. I think that would have taken the sleekness to a whole different level. With that being said, the matte packaging is not very forgiving. It will collect oils very easily. The palette does come with a mirror, which can come in handy.

Let’s get into the swatches!

Sigma Beauty - Warm Neutrals Volume 2 (FINAL Swatches)

  • Humble: (warm, antique white almost-matte)
  • Charmer: (ballet pink frost)
  • Beaming: (gold-pink champagne shimmer)
  • Toasty: (golden beige)
  • Bittersweet: (bright copper shimmer)
  • Henna: (milk-chocolate raspberry matte)
  • Iconic: (brown-burgundy shimmer)
  • Rogue: (bold, berry red matte)
  • Passion Fruit: (crisp, neutral pink matte)
  • Russet: (smokey eggplant with fine pink glitter)
  • After Hours: (deep and smokey, warm matte brown)
  • Fool’s Gold: (gunmetal with intense gold glitter)

If I’m being honest, I’m underwhelmed with Rogue. I thought there was going to be more payoff on the skin. We’ll have to see if it can be blended and packed on the eye. I’m a little concerned with fallout with Russet and Fool’s Gold. There is a variety of finishes and colors for this to be a standalone palette.

Formula: 4 out of 5

The eyeshadows are paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free. The formula also doesn’t include mineral oil or casein. There are three shades (Rogue, Passion Fruit, Russet) that contain carmine. I was worried that the shades were going to feel too pressed in the pan, since there is about one gram of product. However, that wasn’t an issue. The shades did swatch nicely on the skin. But as mentioned before, I am concerned about fallout with two shades.

Customer Service: 5 out of 5

This was my first time ordering from the Sigma Beauty website. I placed my order online on Sunday, July 22, 2018. I received shipping confirmation the next day, Monday, July 23, 2018. My package was delivered within two days, July 25, 2018. That is pretty fast packing and shipment, especially since I placed an order on a Sunday! My package arrived undamaged and my palette was nicely packed.

First Impression: 3 out of 5

Out of the palettes that Sigma Beauty has, I gravitated to the Warm Neutrals Volume II the most. I actually tried to look online for the Warm Neutrals Volume I to do a comparison. However, I couldn’t find it on the Sigma Beauty’s website. I’m not sure if it was discontinued. Sigma Beauty seems to primarily be known for their brushes. I hope they release more palettes soon because that’s what I like to collect the most. But I might pick up a couple of their eye brushes!

The overall first impression grade is 76%! I’m interested in checking out the brushes next. I’ve been eyeing Sigma for awhile – I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to finally purchase from them! Sigma was founded in 2009 by a civil engineer and a molecular bacteriologist (wow!). Their brand is name after the capital Greek letter symbolizing the mathematical sum. It is the sum of their passions: quality, innovation, and function.

Thank you for checking out my first impression on the Sigma Beauty – Warm Neutrals Volume II eyeshadow palette. I hope you’re having a great day/night wherever you are in the world. Stay safe and let’s knock out another work week. Please take a moment to look up at the stars and remember: Walk in beauty, my friends.

All of my love,
